We were approached by Brereton Scout Group in July 2015 and asked if we could help improve their online presence in the local community. They wanted a website that would provide a resource for parents and provide useful information for all members of Brereton Scout Group. The website would be used as a tool to help promote scouting and keep parents informed on a regular basis.
1st Brereton Scout Group have been active for over 50 years in Brereton, Rugeley. The group is well subscribed with Beavers, Cubs and Scouts.
We talked to all the leaders of each section; beavers, cubs and scouts and asked them what they needed from the website. Armed with a huge list of wants and needs, the main issue was communicating information out to the parents. We took a clean design, and using a professional template built what you see today. Complete with a blog, newsletter integration via Mail Chimp and an easy to use admin interface, this was the end result!
We also created a FaceBook fan page and a closed FaceBook group for 1st Brereton Scout Group – this makes communicating and sharing information so much easier.
