This project stared out as a teaching project to educate Girlguiding Staffordshire on how they could use and manage WordPress to maintain, update and work on their website without the need for a developer.
They also had an issue with the website software they were using, it would become end of life soon and did not support responsive design.
The Girlguiding Staffordshire website is the main online resource within the county of Staffordshire. The site is used by the guides, leaders, volunteers and parents as a continual point of reference and provides valuable resources to al 17 divisions.
With over 150 pages of existing content and daily updates from over 17 divisions, the content was not going not be an issue. We worked very closely with the Staffordshire County Commissioner Maureen, Claire and Joe to develop a suitable layout and style that would reflect the previous website but give it a modern update.
A key part of this development was the ability to book courses online, and allocate guide numbers and leaders. Using an Event Management plugin we were able to deliver a solution that saved time and paperwork, but worked exactly how they needed it to.
